Terms & Conditions

Welcome to our website. These terms and conditions apply to all transactions on this site. Please read them carefully. Whilst we have taken great care to check all specifications, weights, colours, sizes etc. we would confirm that these are approximate only and that all our suppliers reserve the right to change and alter specifications, and make improvements, without notice.

Prices, Taxes & Financials

Prices: Prices are shown in GBP (UK Pounds) and are correct at the time of publication to our website, although errors can be made (both in increase and decrease price). If an order is received where a price error is evident, we will endeavour to honour the price where possible, but not below operating cost and we therefore reserve the right to refuse to accept the order

Taxes: All orders delivered within the United Kingdom and the European Union (excluding the Channel Islands) attracts tax at the standard UK rates of 20%, with some items rated at 5%, and zero rates. Some packages incur tax at differing rates, but all prices shown include tax, which is broken down within the customer’s online shopping basket and receipt received with an order.

Financial Liability Exclusion: Baby Years can not be held financially liable for delays in receipt of item(s) whether known or not known by Baby Years and/or the customer, including compensation for delay or reimbursment for the purchase of a delayed or cancelled item at greater expense from an alternate supplier, under any circumstances.

Items Out Of Stock: If an item is marked as out of stock it may only be a temporary situation and can still be ordered. Please telephone if the customer would like further details of expected arrival of stock. Once stock has arrived and we are ready to send an order we will telephone to advise the customer. If the out of stock item is just one part of a larger order the remainder of the order will be allocated and sent when the complete order is ready.
Important: If one or more items is not in stock at the time of order, then despatch will be conducted within 1 full working day once all items are in stock using the selected delivery method. If the customer wishes to have the items that are available sent further postage/courier charges will apply.

Returns & Cancellations: As an internet customer the Distance Selling Regulations give the customer the right to cancel an order (by letter or email) up to 7 working days following the day after delivery takes place, but the customer must quote an order number to assist us in identifying the order promptly. The customer must take reasonable care of the product, and its packaging whilst it is in the possession of the customer. Any labels attached either internally or externally to the product must still be attached. The original order payment will then be refunded as soon as possible (at the latest within 30 working days) less the sum of £5.50 to cover the initial shipping costs. Items which have been used will be returned to the customer at their expense.

Please note that any items not correctly packaged or not in the original packaging will be subject to a re-packaging charge. This will be calculated on an individual basis.

Please be aware that pushchairs should only be tried indoors to decide whether they are suitable. If used outdoors during this time the cost of new wheels will be deducted from any refund owed.

In the event that the goods are not as expected or not required and the customer exercises their cancellation rights, the goods must be returned, at the customer’s cost, to our store within 7 working days of receipt of goods (a working day excludes weekends and bank holidays). Products must be returned complete and unused, in the original packaging and with all accessories. The cost of returning the goods is the customer’s responsibility. In the event that the customer return’s part of an order and the order value then falls below the free delivery value of £30 the sum of £5.50 (representing the carriage/postage charge) will be deducted from any refund owed.

Baby Years will not refund the cost of postage unless the items we have sent are incorrect or are damaged when we have sent them to the customer.

Faulty Item: If the item received is faulty, and has not been used and the packaging was not signed for as damaged, please contact us by telephone or email with pictures and the order details together with details of the fault.

In the event of the product developing a fault after use please telephone or email us with details of the fault together with the order number and contact details. If possible please email a picture of the fault to see if it can be rectified without having to return the product. If we consider the item needs to be returned to us for inspection and it is found that a manufacturing fault has not occurred any costs incurred by us will be charged to the customer.

Faults caused by accident, neglect, or mis-use by the customer or normal wear and tear are not covered. In the event of a non-manufacturing fault the repair and return carriage charge will be at the customer's expense.

Overseas Purchases: We despatch to Europe, but should the customer require delivery outside of Europe please email us on sales@baby-years.com for a quote. For products purchased and subsequently taken overseas any costs of collection or despatch in respect of rectifying any product faults are the responsibility of the Purchaser. If the product is within the warranty period and is covered under the warranty only the labour and spare part costs will be provided free of charge.

Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions: Gift vouchers can be redeemed online, in our store and by calling our store on 01582 765 388.

When redeeming your vouchers please quote the unique serial number when ordering on the phone or enter it in the box at the website checkout.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

If the value of your order is more than the value of your gift vouchers, the balance can be paid by credit or debit card.

If the value of your order is less than your gift vouchers we will issue you with another gift voucher to the value of the difference.

Promotional discount codes cannot be used to purchase gift vouchers.

Gift vouchers are only available in sterling currency and cannot be purchased by customers outside the UK.
