Delivery & Payment

Carriage is usually charged at £5.50 for all orders under £30 and is free for all orders over £30. Delivery is free to AL5 & AL4 postcodes. If the customer is unsure about delivery charges, please telephone 01582 765 388 or email us on sales@baby-years.com for an exact delivery charge before placing an order.

If delivery is requested to an address other than where the payment card is registered, the order may be subject to further security checks and the request may only be accepted at our discretion. This may result in the delay of the order being processed.

Delivery will normally be made within 3 to 4 working days - subject to availability.  If delivery is expected to be longer than this then we will e-mail or telephone the customer with an expected date for delivery. We do everything we can to meet the delivery times specified in this section. However, occassionally delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control and, therefore, they cannot be guaranteed. We will inform the customer if we become aware of an unexpected delay. We will, endeavour to, respond to any order or e-mail within 24 hours.

Furniture deliveries direct from the manufacturer will be made usually within 6 weeks. The manufacturer will liaise direct to arrange the delivery.

All deliveries made by courier must be signed for. If the customer provides us with a wrong delivery address and the goods are signed for by another party, Baby Years cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred as a result. For the customer’s protection please make sure all boxes are checked carefully for any signs of visible damage. Claims for damaged or missing boxes cannot be made unless specified at the time.

Items may sometimes be repackaged prior to despatch to provide greater protection during transit. Do not refuse delivery because what it says on the box is not what was ordered. If you refuse delivery you will be charged £15 for the courier refusal fee and will incur a further delivery cost to get the item re-delivered.

We accept payment by all major credit/debit cards except American Express. Payments are processed via the PayPal payment system. The customer may cancel an order at any time prior to despatch of the goods.

An online transaction is a pre-authorisation only, this means that until we process an order and despatch it,  no funds are debited from the customer’s account
