BABYBJÖRN celebrates its 50th anniversary this year – and to celebrate this milestone we turned to our roots. The result was the creation of Retro BABYBJÖRN Baby Carrier Original, we have chosen three different fabrics from the ’60s and ’70s.
Each baby carrier has a unique look!
The blue and orange/brown baby carriers have a pattern positioning that gives each baby carrier a unique look. The retro collection is a limited edition line.
50 years of happy babies
’60s
Durable and warming corduroy fabric, in combination with the delicate floral pattern, derives from the ’60s.
’70s
We recreated a classic pattern in brown/orange and blue for the ’70s collection.
Ergonomic for your child
The baby carrier has an ergonomic design that provides the correct support for your child’s head, back and hips from birth. The adjustable head support can be folded down so that the child can be carried facing forward when he or she is a bit older and able to hold up his or her own head.
Safe and user-friendly
The baby carrier was designed to allow you to carry your child safely and close to you while being easy to use. The baby carrier is simple to put on and take off without assistance and all adjustments can be made easily from the front. The front piece can also be fully opened so that you can lift out your sleeping child without waking him or her.

The baby carrier uses minimal space and can easily be packed in a bag to take with you.

Product care
Machine wash in warm water (40 °C). Wash separately with a gentle, bleach-free detergent.
Carrying positions
When the child is older and has a stronger neck, the head support can be folded down, allowing the child to be carried facing forwards and to have a look around.
